Such Swiss eccentricity may not be so easy to spot if your knowledge of such things derives solely from internet searches, but that's the fact of it. I suppose you might assert that Sophia has an Italian background (as evidenced by the charming "si" and "grazie" she sometimes used to include in posts) and is speaking from that perspective, except that Italians commemorate Armistice Day on 4 November, not 11 November.
