Ok so he calls a "press conference" - yaks for 25 minutes ...and takes no questions. Among the more ludicrous and insulting things he said:
He is calling for armed police in all schools. Ummm..ok couple of things about that -armed personnel at Columbine High School and Fort Hood didn't seem to stop those shootings. And how long before we'd have a headline about one of these guys shooting an unarmed student? I bet it would take no more than 6months - a year at most. Aside from all of that - you know how many cops that would take? It quite a few good sized cities it would require over 1/2 their local police force!!!
You'd think that after the slaughter of a bunch of elementary-school children by a guy using a semi-automatic rifle, the group might soften its stance a little bit. Tell ya what though - I just lost all respect for the NRA.
