>>I'm writing a VB4 (16bit) app for a client. VFP is great for displaying data via browses, etc., however, VB leaves a lot to be desired in Version 4. I don't wish to use the data control functionality, and am simply looking for a control that will browse a file and display multiple records in a single instance.

>There is a lot of 3rd party products which offers some interesting grid for VB. As a matter of fact, several discussions already took place in the VB forum about those products. The base grid of VB does not allow as much flexibility as those products. Some of those products are offering some interesting features like multiple rows selection, hierarchical parent child relational views, etc.

Legacy code is difficult enough without having to try to find updated solutions to problems. As I menitoned to David, Apex doesn't even sell True DBGrid 4.0 anymore. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks for your response.
