That's those monolythic countries for you. We have if not entirely personalized, but then groupwise holidays. Three days ago I had something delivered, and the courier phoned in from two blocks away, asking whether he should turn left or right to get into my street - he doesn't know the area, as he's replacing the other guy who has "that christmas of theirs" that day. His christmas will be on 7th of january, as it will be for many, and on that day some may actually do some work - those who don't do religion or who have it on some other day. Then the new year, there are two of them, one on 1st and one on 13th - but this isn't separated by affiliation, many people go to both parties, the latter one being a tad crazier (even if it's the serbian orthodox new year, by julian calendar, it's still attended by many who aren't of that persuasion - it's just an excuse to have one party more). Many who party somewhere downtown simply leave the party around 23:30, go to the main square, wait for the midnight with thousands of other people and then go back to warm up and drink more.

And then there's the person's familial patron saint, for which you have to tell your HR manager so he can schedule others to do your work on that day, as the law guarantees a day off. Whoever writes a payroll app in Serbia has to provide a field to enter the patron saint's name or date for each employee, or else he'll have a hard time selling that app here :).
