Avoiding onkeypress to process Enter key on textbox drop

As suprisingly as it gets, only Internet Explorer and Firefox has this problem. Chrome does not uses the onkeypress on the auto complete. So, if an onkeypress event is plugged to a textbox, in Chrome, if auto complete kicks in, pressing Enter on the auto complete value won't fire the onkeypress. On Internet Explorer and Firefox, this is a problem I have and I haven't found a workaround for that yet.
