I am still baffled why they need either semi or fully automatic weapons.

On the topic of the screening of potential gun buyers, there has been a lot of talk about making it tougher. But it wouldn't have done a bit of good in Connecticut. It wasn't the killer who bought the weapons, it was his mother.
