Thisform.Refresh

is the cause.

I tried with and without brackets and the error persists.
It worked fine yesterday and today I added a few other ideas in other areas of the app.
Then this trouble started. I have spent the past few hours removing the code added today.
I'll keep looking. But the new stuff has noting to do with this area of the program. Nevertheless, the odds are pretty good that I screwed up somewhere.
