>If I'm not mistaken, I believe that a VFP textbox bound to a date field had some built in smarts that would let end users edit the date value by using the up/down arrow keys (and perhaps pageup/pagedn too). The month/day/year portions of the date would be automatically highlighted/selected and simply by pressing the up/down arrow keys, the highlighted value would increase/decrease by 1.

The only native functionality with dates in textboxes is if the date is highlighted, you can use + or - to in increment or decrement the date by 1.
