I'm importing data into sql server regularly and an annoyance is that the default field size in the import is 50. Is there any way of resetting the default size to something bigger.

Its no a problem for regular imports as I can set up a dataflow process and configure that exactly but for ad hoc one offs a bigger field size would be good.
