1. Let's start out by making sure you have the latest version...

Version 4.3.014 Released 2012-06-18

2. Has this always happened? Or did it use to work correctly, and now it quit working?

3. When does it hang???? When you start a search for this non-existing word, do you see the progress appear and move across slowly, gradually making it al the way across. The at the end, you should get a messagebox that says "No matches found" (See atttached screenshot). If not, please explain in detail what is happening.

4. Are you doing any custom File Template for Filetypes or other suspsicios uses of the settings on the Advcaned form?
