I won't say the Windows app store is perfect..it isn't. There are apps that I would like, but don't exist. However, what the article...and in fact most reviews...fail to point out is that iPad had fewer apps in its store for the same time period after release. Building up apps takes time. The same reviews also typically fail to specify the apps that are missing. Just using the total number is really meaningless due to a large number of duplicate or never downloaded apps.
