The way technology works, in a few years you'll proably be ready to get a replacement anyway. (wink)
... and chances are, that you'll find a comparable or better unit for less than you paid for the original one by that time.
... of course, one could simply not buy one now and wait until prices come down
... oh heck, since what I'm gonna buy is going to end up being outdated in a few years, I might as well simply buy something that I know is already outdated and be done with it... (wink) (Sort'a like buying stale bread -- it's gonna get stale anyway)
... speaking of bread... I could always opt for moldy bread -- I could probably get it for free, and who knows? I might even get lucky -- the mold could be something like penecillium!
