The simple truth is that the woman and her children should not have been at home. Her front door should have been wide open. Better yet, she should not have lived in that house. Then it would be someone else’s problem.

There have recently been several home invasions in the San Francisco Bay Area. In one, five family members were killed. They caught the killers. That does not bring back the family that was killed.

Who has the right to break down your front door or invade your house in anyway? If someone does that they have no respect for your house or any occupants. Why find out after the fact what such an individuals intent was? If you have the means to defend yourself then you should do so.

I have black belts in Judo and Karate. I have no idea what might happen to me if I killed someone who entered my home without permission and posed a physical threat to my family or me. Because of my training I would not rationalize the fact but rather react. Killing anyone is not something I would take lightly.
