Why the heck Microsoft would try to switch a potential VFP database app to LightSwitch is beyond me.

Visual Studio using ASP.NET, MVC, or WPF (all using SQL Server) are the real options.

There is no business case for starting a new app in VFP or doing major maintenance in VFP aside from developer preference (considering the rapidly dwindling # of VFP developers, this should not be a consideration).
