I never said, nor do I believe that Windows is dead. However, I think the days of the Windows desktop are numbered (not desktop computing). Apps and web are the future.
>I'm working 2 contracts right now. One is winforms and the other WPF. Both are used internally inside the corporate networks. There is no justifyable reason to develop them as web apps. Web apps are notoriously more difficult to develop and configure and maintain. I can put these both to market with more stability, less cost, and less heartache than I could would ASP or other web technology. But flat out - they just don't need to be web apps.

>This whole "windows is dead" notion is upsurd because there are so many applications that don't need to be web. What compelling reason could you state to convince a client to go web over windows for a corporate, enterprise, in-house app?
