Yes. The release version is available on MSDN as of last October.
I think Microsoft is downplaying it since they want everyone to pay monthly for Office 365. Of course they want to package both products together so you can pay big $$ for real Office and then monthly for 365 while you are at it.
I'm not going to support them on that - Office 2010 is the last Office suite we'll buy or recommend from Microsoft.
