Naoto, don't let comments like this, and Mr. Kuhn's, get you down. VFP is an amazing development platform. Were it released today as a new product, people would take notice of it's amazing features, especially given it takes less than 10MB to run.

There is a force at work convincing people to abandon the relatively free cost of VFP developer tools and its lack of ongoing fees for use, and instead go with annual subscriptions and usage contracts for a handful of "more modern features."

For most software ... those "more modern features" are a) not needed, and b) easily replicable with all the third party tools being developed even today.

VFP will be in use for many, many years.
