Why are you even part of modern society? Will you get logged onto the UT or not? Will me electricity work or not? Will the food from the grocery store kill me not? Your views are so far out there that they are bordering on ridiculous. Do you pay cash for EVERYTHING? And why do you even rely on cash at all? It's controlled by the government and big banks. Please do all of us a favor and stop using the UT to spout your political and religious agenda (I purposely did not say agendas). This is not the place for it.

>I have posted on here and Foxite many times about that.

>In a one sentence answer:
>Because Microsoft's goals for .NET are Windows Azure-esque -- meaning remote data, remote software, minimal local compute requirements (low-end local machines), which means all permanent storage, all future significant compute abilities will exist ... elsewhere, making us slaves to somebody else's system (we'll need the Internet, to pay fee for service, and will be at the whim of control mechanisms in the hands of others who have the ability to literally "switch us off" remotely for any reason (including political or ideological ones)).
>
>Most people don't think about big picture items, but the cloud does to computers what credit or even debit cards do to cash. When you go somewhere with cash, the thing you want, you can get. You're the one in control. When you go in with a card, even if you have $200,000 in the bank, you're subject to others, you scan your card and wait ("Am I approved? Am I approved?"). There are factors which can prevent you from obtaining the item you desire, both fair and unfair factors ... is the communication line down, is there a software bug indicating you have $-200,000 instead, has your account been denied because of reason X, were you the victim of identity theft, etc?
>
>We are losing primary control of everything we rely on, one by one, and it's by design, by men working for evil, who are doing this on purpose. Farming, control of seeds, cash, ability to run local software, control local governments, all components of the larger plan.
>
>.NET, or an equivalent .NET-like system, and all of these "on the cloud" solutions, will systematically remove the people's ability to maintain control of everything they do today (or will do tomorrow) with computers.
>
>It will happen slowly, but not so slow, and in N years not too far out (15 yrs), there will be almost nothing locally left except high-end graphics accelerated web-browser-only devices without a generic OS and only app urls to access remote content, which then presents as screen data for the UI. No local storage beyond memory buffers, no local compute.
>
>Considering the world's sudden (last 25yrs) dependence on computers, and now this rabid push toward the cloud, coupled to the removal of all the "people-have-the-power" abilities, it all equates to literally the most dangerous threat ever to mankind.
>
>.NET is one part, but a big one. Microsoft's entire future is away from stand-alone software (which empowers users), and onto service software. Even .NET is service software, and even if it runs on a local server, because of the direction Microsoft, and other controlling big business entities are moving.
>
>It's a well executed plan... convincing people to hand over everything to remote systems over time. But make no mistake about it ... such ends are only for evil purposes. They are in no way designed to help us, to help the people lead better lived, but are only to help those desiring to control ... all things ... get there.
>
>There is an alternative way of living. It's there for all to see individually. Learn of the world Jesus originally set up here on Earth, a beautiful, harmonious paradise of peace, with weather conditions described as "cool of the day" being given, a mist watering the whole Earth, the lion laying down with the lamb ... and see how that system of Godly giving has been supplanted by sin over about 4,000 years since the flood, into all manner of control, all manner of enslavement of people ... everywhere.
>
>Only Jesus can break those bonds and set men free. And God will eternally provide for His people, even if standing up for Him on this Earth means we are killed for our beliefs. God's ways are right, better, helpful to all for gain, life, growth.
>
>A tall order for men to accept. It requires a new set of eyes, ears, a new heart, one of love. Difficult to execute with faith, impossible to understand or execute without faith.
>
>It is a miracle of God that any of us will be able to stand when the time comes. Jesus makes it possible though, as God gives us strength when we seek Him with all our limited abilities. We do all we can do, and then stand. God does the rest.
