I know this sounds rediculus(sp?)

The only way I have gotten this to work is to put
thisform.refresh() in every collumn refresh meothod

example in all the following
(grid1.column1.text.refresh)
(grid1.column2.text.refresh)
(grid1.column3.text.refresh)
etc .., I mean every column! ok not the total column but all the rest
