as one being forced to Work in VFP3.0 Mac (c'mon Bill - how 'bout at least a runtime library for 5.0 or 6.0 for the mac?) I agree whole heartedly with Fred - I never worked with 3.0 Windows, but if it is ANYTHING like 3.0 Mac - I wouldn't put my grocery list on it!

>>>No kidding! For it's time FPW 2.6 was/is useful. I refuse to write any apps in VFP 3.0. If my clients want apps for other than Win9x or NT 4.0 OS's, I tell them FPW 2.6 and we will make it work.

>>Being the die-hard Fox'er here, people were amazed when I tell them my opinion of FPW 2.6, and if they want Fox for Win3.x apps, I'll be MORE than happy to do it in VFP3.0. Unfortunately, I can't afford to be an OS snob but I CAN be a Fox snob.

>After several months of learning and then producing two apps (which are still in use today) I came to the conclusion that VFP 3.0 was a nice start (version 1.0) but VFP 5.0 (IMHO) was the first usable Visual FoxPro. This is In My Humble Opinion. I've turned down contracts where the clients wanted VFP 3.0 used. I told them that I will write the apps in FPW 2.6 or VFP 5/6 but I do not consider VFP 3.0 to be a stable or refined enough product to produce acceptable applications.
