Hi

I have SQL2012 Express running on a local PC, called PC01. This works fine and I can connect to PC01\SQLExpress from the local PC01 using the standard ODBC driver.

The issue is when I attempt to setup an ODBC connection, on PC02, in order to connect to PC01\SQLExpress: this fails. I know that the problem is down to the SQL Server being setup to accept remote connections, but I have Googled this to death and tried absolutely everything.

Any ideas, it's driving me mad?!?!?!?

Constants:

1. PC01 and PC02 are on the same subnet, using \\PC01 and \\PC02 from either PC will correctly connect to that PC.
