Apple's business model has been absolutely proprietary since the beginning. They maintain fleets of lawyers to ensure nobody can build clones or software that infringes on their proprietary tools. They's been suing any and all potential violators for decades.

While they do that they cheer on DOJ and other suits attempted on Microsoft for anti-competitive behaviour.

They've figured out how to market their products to a fanbase that can be led by the nose and that accepts any marketing from Apple as gospel.

They pitch how trendy they are and use well publicized slave labor (that lemmings that purchase apple ignore).

Other than that, I guess they are OK.
