WinDev is one of the tools I am considering and it would help me to know things like this, so in order to know if the speed comparison was accurate I was just wondering if you had run SYS(3054) to see if the query was optimised. Could you do that and let me know, if you have th etime, please?

When I change the index so that the SQL SELECT can be fully optimised in both WinDev HyperFile and in VFP database then both tools return the dataset in +/-0.01 seconds.
