>>>>>>>>Has anybody successfully read UT on iPad? A few days ago I borrow my wife's ipad and tried to log into UT but it didn't work. Was I doing something wrong or UT is for IE only?

>>>>Of course you are entitled to your opinion. My only experience with Apple products is when I switched from Blackberry to iPhone it was great change. I love iPhone. I bought my wife an iPad last year and now she does not care if I leave her or not as long as she keeps the iPad <bg>.

>>>Apple's business model has been absolutely proprietary since the beginning. They maintain fleets of lawyers to ensure nobody can build clones or software that infringes on their proprietary tools. They's been suing any and all potential violators for decades.

>>>While they do that they cheer on DOJ and other suits attempted on Microsoft for anti-competitive behaviour.

>>>They've figured out how to market their products to a fanbase that can be led by the nose and that accepts any marketing from Apple as gospel.
>>>
>>>They pitch how trendy they are and use well publicized slave labor (that lemmings that purchase apple ignore).
>>>
>>>Other than that, I guess they are OK.

>>I may agree with a lot of what you are saying. But one thing I love about Apple products - in addition to great technologies they create - is their security model. When you download iPhone apps or iPad app you don't have to worry about viruses, Trojans, and other crap that you constantly get with MS products. Other than MS creating very bad OS I am ok with them <g>.
>
>Hrm... perhaps part of the security comes from the fact that you're quite limited in the ability to load software from sources other than the official Market?

True. But even if I wanted to do a damage (in terms of OS) to my own iPhone or iPad, it would not be easy. With PC or MS-based OS device there is a world of opportunities to screw up your own device/pc <g>
