>>>>>>If the majority voted to take away freedom of speech you respect their decision?

>>>>Think losing your freedom of speech won't kill thousands?? Move to China, Iran, Syria, etc. and try speaking freely. That's EXACTLY why it's a constitutional right.
>>>
>>>Are you kidding me?
>>>Free speech in the USA is not killing/wounding 100,000 people per year. Guns are killing/wounding 100,000 people a year in the USA.
>>>So ummm...which one seems to be ...oh geeze forget it.
>>
>>I quick Google search and I found 3 or 4 links to the same statics that say homicide/gun violence is 15th or so among leading causes of death in the US: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/family/15-most-common-causes-of-death-in-the-united-states.htm
>>
>>So why are people so fanatical about banning guns? Because these deaths are far more sensational than all the others. Smoking kills WAY more people than guns do, Are you on the anti-smoking soapbox when someone dies of cancer or heart disease from smoking?
>>Should they pass more laws restricting smoking? Maybe more enforcement here is the issue.
>
>You're not going to attempt to convince us that there hasn't been any backlash in regards to smoking right? Perhaps some public awareness messages? Or maybe some laws banning smoking indoors? Or perhaps the number of people that smoke hasn't gone down? All you're doing is proving me right hahahaha

No, what I'm saying is that there are countless laws banning all manner of things - and people do it any way. Same will happen if you outlaw guns. People will continue to kill people.
