>ОК, here's a hedge: you have two variables...

It works like this:
BOTTOM LINE: ALL PEOPLE are under sin. EVERYONE will go to Hell FOREVER. There is ONE way out, and that is to accept Jesus Christ's free offer of eternal life. Here's why:

(1) All men are born under sin, dead in the spirit. It's why we're able to do bad things. It's why things here deteriorate over time. Sin (which is rebellion against God, a failure to do as He commanded) has done this. And not just to us, but also to the plants, animals, to the Earth, everything that we see here in the "material" world was damaged because of the sin of Adam.

(2) God is spirit. We cannot discern Him with our eyes, nor hear Him with our ears. Only those who are alive spiritually can discern Him and understand His callings, and those things which are of Him outside of our natural senses. No one can enter in to Heaven, the Kingdom of God, unless they are born again of the spirit, made alive again eternally. On the day Adam sinned, He died, even though he lived to be 930 years upon the Earth. He died spiritually that day He sinned, which means he died eternally, even though for a time his natural body lived -- just like all of us.

(3) There is one way to be "born again," and that is through the man Jesus Christ. Why only Him?
(3a) God demands outright perfection.
(3b) None of us are perfect. The Law was given to Moses to point this out, that all of us fall short. And all of us do.
(3c) After Adam and Eve sinned, God Himself came down to save men, to be the perfect one, and to then sacrifice Himself (this is why He was born of a virgin, so that He did not carry that automatic sin debt passed down from Adam to all of us).
(3d) This was God's plan of salvation before He ever formed the universe. He had a way out before Adam and Eve ever sinned.
(3e) On the 3rd day Jesus rose again. He now lives, having put to death sin AND DEATH in His body. And because He is God, He has authority and power to do this (to offer His life unto death, and to raise Himself back up).

(4) In the Old Testament, under the Law of Moses, there was a daily sacrifice. This was a temporary appeasement of the sin of man unto God. Something living was sacrificed for the sins of people. This shedding of blood was a requirement of God. We don't know why, but God has told us "life is in the blood." When Adam and Eve sinned, they covered themselves with fig leaves. God Himself killed an animal and made skins for them. This was at the very beginning, and done by God.

(5) Because Jesus Christ is God, He is eternal. When He sacrificed Himself, it was, therefore, an eternal sacrifice. A one time sacrifice suitable for all because the punishment of committing one sin before a God demanding perfection is eternal damnation. The same punishment is required for a billion sins. Jesus was able to take the entirety of sin upon Himself, and put it to death in His flesh.

This is how heinous sin is, that the existence of one disobedient act demands eternal damnation. Think about what sin has done to this world. One sin begetting trillions and trillions of sins. It is a cancer which only destroys everything. The only way to put it down forever, is to put it down forever.

(6) Because Jesus' sacrifice put the requirement of the Law to death in His body (by becoming sin), those who are redeemed, who are His, they do not have to pay that price of eternal damnation, because He paid it. Those who will not accept Him as He is must pay it for themselves. Jesus only came to save those who will follow Him, who will hear the truth and obey it.

(7) Because Jesus lives forever, His redeemed will also live forever, because His payment of their sin debt was complete, and eternal.

(8) For those who do not accept His free gift of love, of the salvation of their eternal souls, they themselves, individually will eternally pay their own sin debt. This is the bulk of mankind, everybody who has rejected the truth and embraced anything else. The enemy will use your greatest weakness to distract you away from the call of God. And if you choose to follow after sin instead of the call of God, you have made your choice.
