What I am getting at Silvio is that the "val4" variable has to be created in the method in which the replace is done. If you calculate it in another method, you have to pass it back by a property of the form or in the return of the method. For example, if you calculate it in thae calc4 method,sue val4=thisfor.calc4() and in calc4 do a RETURN calc4result. HTH and I am not too mistaken about what you are doing.
