Thomas, God has not left His people abandoned. Whether or not some originally included books of the Bible are included today or not, God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit, and that which remains in scripture is sufficient to guide and understand our walk in this world, and our calling as saints to be holy.
God is who God is, and He did not leave it incomplete or unapproachable. He has cared for those who are His sufficiently to be saved, and to be His servants upon this Earth.

Colossians 3:17 - "And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
Matthew 24:14 - "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
Matthew 28:19-20 - "19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Jesus has His followers working to live their lives in service unto Him, to teach in every realm with which they operate: family, friends, people we're led to, church members, our neighbors, everyone. He has us teaching His ways because there is a 24/7 enemy teaching falsely. God holds back on no one. He knows who are His, and they will hear. The rest will not.
It is for believers to offer up their lives as living sacrifices unto The Lord. We were bought at a price, and our lives are not our own. We have a task to perform, to go out and teach. This is all believers who are believers.
