Some advice...

- A form that is legal in one state may not be legal in another
- If you write your own, it may not be legal
- Is it worth $300 to potentially save alot more?

Get a lawyer

UPDATED: I put in my initial contract that if someone else modifies the code, I am released from all liability. That way, I'm cleared up front. I don't have a copy handy right now to give you the exact text, but as I recall, it was fairly simple.

>I worked on a contract with a local company for about 3 years. Never completed the project because they kept changing things. Always scope creep. The finally got frustrated and cancelled it about 6 months ago.

>I take this as "You didn't do a good job and we want to restart the project, just not with you". I'm OK with that because it was a real PITA and I'm glad to be rid of them.

>As far as the waiver, I asked them to sign a Release From Liability. I basically want them to not come after me if this other guy does something wrong.

>Anyone have a Release From Liability template or something similar? Please don't refer me to a lawyer. I don't want to spend $300 to have him print out a form for me.

>Any thoughts on this?
