This is incorrect information, which is why I respond to it.
There is a test. It is a self-test to be administered by each man individually when he is alone, at peace, calm, without outside distraction (no TV, no radio, no unavoidable inputs or noise), just by himself, with himself and this thoughts, and mentally laying everything down before God. Every man knows the true condition of his soul, unless he is literally reprobate (and this condition can only come about as the direct result of having known previously many, many times, and having rejected God's rebuke upon his behavior by ignoring his conscience, and proceeding in sin anyway).
2 Corinthians 13:5 - "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?"
