It was the movie "South of the Border" by Oliver Stone that made her famous to many Americans. The viewpoints we have heard about Latin American countries and their leaders/policies is severely biased in our mainstream media. It makes them out to be inept dictators who do nothing but harm to their people when the truth is notably otherwise. To hear each Latin American nation leader speak policy (from each of their own mouths) was very, very enlightening. And also encouraging.

I think what Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil have done is wonderful. And I am very sorry for what the IMF did to your nation's currency in recent history. I am glad you are working past it.

She definitely is, along with Hugo, Rafael, Evo and others. Not all exactly the same, but so very nice to see and hear their policies on the world stage against those of this imperialistic dominating nation.
