>Long time ago I referred here to person called Doron (Farber) as a male but I was soon 'corrected' that person in question is actually female. So ok, I stood corrected and went on thinking I made mistake until years later I saw the picture of the real person on the website and it was indeed MALE. In Anglo-Saxon/Western 'namespace', unless you have names that sound clearly female (like Jessica, Erica, Ana etc ) you never know until you see the picture of the real person. (Even then you can't be 100% sure {g})
>Anybody who's name does not end with 'A' or 'Y' is 'possibly male' suspect for outsiders if judging just by name.
>Now.. If someone tells me that they know/knew girl named 'Richard' or 'Matthew' I will really start to panic. {g}
Tamar is indeed woman's name and it's in the Bible, so I wonder why someone will think it's male. Viv looks like it's short for Vivian, so there can be a confusion about gender. And Tracy (Tracey) is a gender neutral name, I know people of both sexes with this name. My younger son name is also gender neutral, I know of many Ariel who are females.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
