Its a personal choice thing :-).

One of my favourite driving experiences (apart from motorcycles) was a friends souped up mini. He was a decent mechanic and worked in the motor trade, it was extremely powerful, light and I can only describe the driving experience as raw.

>Manual, yes. Power steering, doors, locks, etc., though, are something I have enjoyed for a long time. (Do you think I should get a manually operated AM radio as well?) I am not going for an authentic James Bond retro experience.

>>>I love motorcycles, even had a BMW R90S in my youth, but that urge has passed. I don't want to be one of those fat guys cruising around on Harleys on Sundays. Every summer Sunday around here, they're everywhere. A NY Times article about the aging biker generation said some of the old ladies really are old ladies.

Having lost about half my net worth during the recession, my investments will be extremely conservative. But I do have one indulgence in mind. Bear in mind that I have not indulged myself in years. I have not been on vacation in years. My car is over 10 years old and has 120,000 miles on it.
