The one thing in all of this I would definitely suggest is to use the Novell Client. We ran into several problems with older 2.x DOS apps when we first started using Windows95 and the person I talked to at M$ suggested using the Novell Client stating it was more robust and stable and we haven't had a problem since.

More to your concern though, my development team is using VSS on a Novell network and we are not experiencing the slowness you describe. So, it may very well be the client. Good luck.

He is doing some other stuff to see if he can figure out why putting the database on the NetWare server would cause such a slow-down.
