Well... (shrug) if you're simply getting the sportscar for its looks rather than performance aspect... then having automatic doesn't seem to be too much of a contradiction -- though it'll be hard to avoid jeers from sportscar enthusiasts.

A few years ago, a friend of mine went to dealership and specced out a car (a Grand Marquis to be exact). He'd specified various options by catalogue number -- to which the dealer responded "but those parts aren't listed" -- to which my friend told the dealer to look at the *full* catalogue. After a few moments while the dealer looked up the info, "oh, I see... You want a cop car".
