Having lost about half my net worth during the recession, my investments will be extremely conservative. But I do have one indulgence in mind. Bear in mind that I have not indulged myself in years. I have not been on vacation in years. My car is over 10 years old and has 120,000 miles on it.

>>>I'm a big fan of cars so of course I'd say go for it. One thing to keep in mind is that the value of the car will go down so you're going to eat the investment in the long run. Now if you wanted it to make more sense you could find yourself a car that will actually go UP in value over the years....so perhaps a classic vehicle of some kind?

You poor thing.

One of my oldest friends posted on Facebook this week that he and his wife are in Puerto Rico on vacation. He gloated that they gained 87 degrees between O'Hare and PR on the flight down. I hope he gets a sunburn that peels the skin off his back. (Guy humor).
