No, basically we have a desktop application that contains local DBF tables running on a network, but we ALSO have a VFP COM object that accesses DBF tables on a website. The local app accesses the web tables via the COM.
We want to convert SOME of the LOCAL DBFs and also the entire database on the web side to SQL, while maintaining FULL backwards compatibility (i.e. DBFS). (No front end conversion at this point (i.e. front end stays in VFP).
So I'm thinking that I need to write sleeves for local network SQL access AND website SQL table access via COM. So I could use straight ODBC in both scenarios, but wanted to see if any better methods exist.
