I attach 2 images; one is a screencap of a small routine and the second one contains marked-up comments on the first one. Some background on this routine:

1) The routine is called from a Window / Form. The window has various controls including images and a progress bar.

2) This routine is designed to read in some data from a VFP DBF file and save it into a WinDev HyperFile database.

3) The VFP DBF file is "external" to the WinDev app, i.e. I have not included it in the WinDev Analysis (although I could have). Therefore I need to tell WinDev that it is an external file.

4) Comment lines are prefixed with double slash //

5) I tend to comment a lot as it helps me think about the code in my head. Also, I realize that some lines can be combined into a single step but I don't always do that for my personal preference iro readability. This is just my style.
