I have an application which contains an EXE and several APP files.

Believe it or not, I've never had to face installing it anywhere. The user machines were all built from an image that automatically installed everything.

I've now got to put it on a machine that was built without our standard installation package.

I know where to put the EXE and APP files.

I think that I only need to install

vfp8r.dll
VFP8RENU.DLL
vfp8t.dll

at least for now. My question is where do these files need to go. My guess is that I have two choices. I can put them in the same directory as the EXE or I can place them in \Windows\System32

My preference is the latter since there is a possibility that other applications will be installed on this machine.

Second question is whether or not these files have to be registered or do they simply need to exist in the appropriate path? Does the folder in which they are installed matter for registration purposes?

Thanks...........Rich
