Everyone knows 4 spaces is the right number ;-)

This is one of the things I love about being a programmer. We form strong opinions about things that don't really matter.

I know you are as seasoned as me, let's put it that way, so maybe you also came up through the mainframe world. When I started IBM ruled the computing world and they had two different operating systems, MVS and DOS-VSE. (Actually MVC succeeded OS early in my career). At the company where I worked there were two guys who were so adamant in their opposing views that they were practically ready to dump vats of boiling oil on each other. Over an operating system!
