As you may or may not know, you don't need a PayPal account to donate via PayPal (credit cards work too, although I believe your credit card company will charge you fees).

I wish I could help but I haven't made much money for a while.
I would download Android SDK and Eclipse (or IntelliJ) and bang out some kind of app for fun in a week.
