That cuts in both directions: why would you rely on a permanently connected browser app unless you have to? It fails when connection drops for whatever reason- maybe because too many people are flooding a finite 4G bandwidth with flabby browser apps ;-) or watching an exciting Lady Gaga costume slip on Youtube. And you can't use it on a commuter flight (unlike a native caching version). And so it goes on. Seems to me that things that made sense and almost came true when the UI was all but controlled by MS, cannot be applied uncritically to Mobile which is the future of IT. IMHO Lianja is just the first of a series of a new generation of "write once, deploy anywhere" opportunities that are far better than excuses to use over-complicated self-indulgent languages which is how some of this comes across.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
