You are, of course, correct. We are individuals. But, as MS has proven, we have lemminglike tendencies.

I initally started this thread out of sheer anger. I'm glad you have given it a little more of a rational focus.

There needs to be a LOT more discussion on this topic to "add to the dialogue" as it were.

For example, what do we want out of a DOJ victory?
Browser independence?
How about a guarantee that ALL properly certified third-party software will function independent of anything that is defined as the "operating system"?
... and certification is based upon a published set of specifications with no hidden hooks, loopholes, caveats or software traps of any sort.
...

I am quite sure that this list could get very long. Something like it should become part of the calculus for DOJ action.
