I agree. The "downside" of the tool tip is that the customer has to read it. And you know that - unless you "force" them - they won't read and will keep clicking. The messagebox has the advantage of beeping and putting a message in their face. They probably won't read it either; but will know that they are doing something they are not supposed to. In the end they will call me, I will explain, and they will say "wow, you sure know this program so well". This makes me feel like my life is not a total waste.
