The forum selection is simply to assign which one is the closest to the job you wish to post. Because, once you post a job, it will appear in here as well.

As far as the image, this is because all entry has an image, either when it is replicated in this forum, on the main page, in the News/Jobs/etc. sections, on Facebook, on Twitter, etc. So, you may simply select an image which relates to the job, such as an image of the company, etc.
