Some of their opponents don't exactly follow the Geneva Convention when dealing with captured/wounded/deceased Western combatants. Those forces aren't going to be any more "eager" than they already are.
Nonetheless it does cede the moral high ground, which for many is the sole acceptable reason why Western forces are in those theatres in the first place.
