IMHO you're attacking the wrong target. MB is as entitled to his opinion as you, which is a principle worth fighting for according to most military folk.
Bearing in mind that burning a flag is seen by some as a justification for nuclear attack, what might urinating on the dead justify? Sure many of us can understand and sympathize with how it happened- just as we might sympathize and understand why a Captain calls her commanding officer an ass to his face after his stupidity costs lives- while we simultaneously understand when charges are laid. There are right and wrong ways to do things, especially when it comes to the military.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
