All of my forms use parameterized views. Having control over when you your cursors are refreshed, and with what information makes it the choice for me.
I have found that SET RELATION is not completely dependable. Certain combinations of table and form navigation cause tables to temporarily 'forget' their relations, and you have to do something like GO RECNO() to remind them.
The deciding factor was when I tried building my first One-to-Many-to-many form with three related tables. This was fairly early in my VFP days, and I kept running into problems and coming here for help.; The answer was always some strange workaround with a 'PS- you should be using views'. After I switched to views, my problems went away, and I never looked back. Plus, now all of my forms are C/S ready if and when the day comes...
