Glad the suggestion helped. To take it a step further, in my situation where the VFP App wouldn't run, I would exit the Java program running.... and the VFP App would then start running.
Perhaps you could start the VFP app that is the issue (even though it does not appear to be started), then kill one program at a time, or process and see if your VFP App will pop up running like mine did. This way you will know which one is the issue. It's a long shot, but might be the easiest way to find the problem.
