>>>Being the die-hard Fox'er here, people were amazed when I tell them my opinion of FPW 2.6, and if they want Fox for Win3.x apps, I'll be MORE than happy to do it in VFP3.0. Unfortunately, I can't afford to be an OS snob but I CAN be a Fox snob.

>>After several months of learning and then producing two apps (which are still in use today) I came to the conclusion that VFP 3.0 was a nice start (version 1.0) but VFP 5.0 (IMHO) was the first usable Visual FoxPro. This is In My Humble Opinion. I've turned down contracts where the clients wanted VFP 3.0 used. I told them that I will write the apps in FPW 2.6 or VFP 5/6 but I do not consider VFP 3.0 to be a stable or refined enough product to produce acceptable applications.

>Was not aware I was asking you to. I was merely stating my humble opinion. I find it rather amusing that you will work (when given the choice) in FPW or VFP5 but not VFP3 and I will do (when given the choice) FPD,VFP3 or VFP5 but NOT FPW. Leads me to wonder how many others are out there who will (by choice) work in one but not the other.

I would think that there are quite a few like us. Everyone has their own opinion about the validity of each development platform. I still FPD 2.6 for one client. The client does frieght shipping and none of their PC's have Windows installed. The owner says that Windows is for playing games and his PC's are for work.
